Devi Sri Prasad

                Devi Sri Prasad was born on 2 August 1979 is a film composer and playback singer in Telugu and Tamil films. His soundtracks have been dubbed or remade in several other languages as well.
Early life and career He was born in Vedurupaka and later moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father was a school teacher and a writer. He completed his schooling at Sir M. Venkata Subba Rao Boys High School, T. Nagar, Chennai. He won several prizes in the culturals organised at inter-school level for both dance and singing competitions. His debut album Dance Party was the start of his music career. He began his musical-direction career in 1999 in the Telugu film Devi. Devi Sri Prasad was a disciple of the renowned mandolinist U. Srinivas, and he has directed music for dozens of South Indian films, including several box-office successes. He has also written lyrics for a few songs in Telugu, which include "Vecha Vechaga" in Vamsi (starring Mahesh Babu and Namrata), "Premante Yemitante" in Anandam, "Chaila Chaila" in Shankar Dada MBBS, and "Udayinche Suryudinadigaa" and "Akaasam" in Kalusukovalani. He also composed a song for the Telugu film Vajrotsavam. Devi Sri Prasad is known to be a big fan of Ilaiyaraaja. He is also a great fan of A. R. Rahman and has provided backing vocals for the song Kullu Pudithe from Villain by Rahman. He has a younger brother named Sagar who is also a playback singer. Notable songs he has performed as a playback singer include "Vecha Vechaga" (Vamshi), "Chitiksethe Alalaina" n "Jagada Jagada"(Yuvakudu) , "Mudula Chiluka" (Prema Chedarangam), "Manakakrledu" (Okkadunnadu), "Hot Summer" (Mayajalam), "Lakapidathala" (Chapter 6), "Tha Thai Tha Thai" (Manmadha), "Pantham pantham" (Sye) and "Hylessa" (Sri Ramadasu).
                 It was a pleasant surprise for Devi too when Keeravani asked him to sing a song in Sri Rama Dasu. He lent his voice for “yetellinde godaramma….hailessa heylessa…” song. He also song many songs under other music directors.
